Highlighting, timing, and split-screen habits feel different on a computer. Do at least one full mock on a desktop before your exam. Confirm official computer-test rules on oet.com. Start here: /exam-library.

Ask an AI tool to list missing purpose, unclear requests, or informal tone. Do not treat its grade as official. Human trainer review still matters for Writing and Speaking. Submit a letter on /oet-writing-practice for practice feedback (A–E bands, not official scores).

Use official OET sample tests as your difficulty baseline. Some third-party Listening and Reading sets feel harder or more ambiguous — treat them as extra practice, not a score forecast. Our mocks are independent practice. Browse /exam-library when you are ready.

Part C often feels vague under time pressure. Predict the next idea from the question stem, then listen for confirmation or a distractor. Calibrate difficulty against official sample tests first. Timed practice lives on /oet-listening-practice.

Fluency alone is not enough. Check understanding, acknowledge concerns in plain language, and signpost what you will cover next. Short, natural lines beat memorised scripts. OET Practice is independent and not affiliated with OET. Role-play on /oet-speaking-practice.

If a detail does not change what the reader should do next, leave it out. Long background lists make letters feel copy-pasted. Group useful history by theme, not note order. Confirm current Writing rules on the official OET site. Then practise on /oet-writing-practice.

Many candidates bury the ask under case-note history. Open with who the patient is and what you want the reader to do (accept a referral, continue care, follow up). Then keep only the facts that help that action. Practice bands here are learning feedback, not official OET scores. Try a free letter on /oet-writing-practice.

I’ve been practicing referral letters for a few weeks, but I keep losing marks in the content and organization criteria. I usually include all the important information, but my letters still feel too long. What is the best way to decide which case notes are relevant and which ones I should leave out?
